Q magazine vs Kerrang
Based on my initial research and
focus groups I have decided to follow the Q magazine more closely. This is
because of the fact that according to my focus group and my research the target
audience seems to be slightly more mature and less of a closed music genre. This
is because Q magazine covers more than one music genres whereas Kerrang sticks
to just one this means that if I follow Q I am more likely to be able to
attract a wider audience. Q magazine also offers a more rounded house style
than Kerrang which I find is more effective than Kerrang which has a house
style to some extent but most covers look quite different. My focus group also
seemed to prefer Q magazine as a whole this could perhaps be down to the fact
that the images present on Q are more focused on one member of the band or the
artist, this could be more appealing to some people as what is featured on
Kerrang is a group of people normally a band which can perhaps be quite
intimidating.
